Avi Katz

Founder, President and CEO

Before founding AdaSky, Avi built up over 30 years of experience in R&D, product management, project management and company management. A proven strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities, his strengths include setting product directions, marketing, and team building in a fast-moving environment. Much of Avi’s professional experience was gained over 20 years at Rafael, where he began as an algorithm engineer, and progressed to managing 120 scientists. Avi holds a B.Sc. degree in electronics and an Executive MBA from the Recanati Business School, Tel Aviv University.

Dror Meiri

Vice President of Business Development

Dror is hands-on, visionary business development and strategic planning executive with over 20 years of experience in creating value and achieving growth of technology based companies. Before joining AdaSky, Dror served as Vice President of Business Development for Wilocity (acquired by Qualcomm). Prior to that, Dror held positions in business development, product marketing, R&D management and system engineering at various start-up companies. Dror holds a B.Sc. (with honors) and an M.Sc. in electrical engineering, from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, and an Executive MBA from Kellogg School of Management. He has also been awarded several patents in different fields.

Eyal Madar

Vice President of R&D

An Image Processing and Computer Vision specialist, Eyal has over 11 years of experience of research and development of complex R&D projects. Before he joined AdaSky, Eyal co-founded Picksu, a patent-pending photo management solution that uses state-of-the-art computer vision and machine learning algorithms. Before that, he had worked as R&D manager at Senso-Optics, where he led the development of the world’s first bolometric infrared ‘camera-on-chip’. Eyal is a veteran of an elite technological unit of the Intelligence Corps of the Israel Defense Forces. Eyal holds a B.Sc. (cum laude) in electrical engineering and an M.Sc. (cum laude) in computer vision from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.

Yakov Shaharabani

Vice President of Strategy

Yakov is a strategic thinker with extensive experience as a leader dealing with complex environments and highly tense situations. Much of Yakov’s leadership and strategic experience was gained in 34 years of service in the Israeli Air Force, from a young pilot, through the positions of a squadron leader and a base commander, up to the very senior positions, as one of the very few Generals in the Israeli Air Force. Yakov is the founder of SNH Strategies LTD, a company focusing on strategic consulting and strategic leadership education. He earned his B.S with honors in economics and computer sciences, and M.A. in National Resource Strategy (Cum Laude), The National Defense University (NDU), Washington D.C.

Igal Bazov

Vice President and CFO

With more than 12 years’ experience in operational and financial management, Igal has a proven track record in equity and debt financing, legal and contracts. His previous experience includes serving as Chief Financial Officer of Senso-Optics Ltd, as Director of Finance of Senso-Optics Ltd. and working as a senior auditor at PwC Israel. A certified public accountant (Israel), Igal holds a B.A. in economics and accounting from Haifa University, as well as an MBA from Recanati Business School, Tel Aviv University.

Albert Achtenberg

Vice President of Software Engineering

Albert is a software and computer vision specialist with over 12 years of experience in management of complex R&D projects. Albert’s prior experience includes co-founding Picksu, a patent-pending photo management solution that uses state-of-the-art computer vision and machine learning algorithms. Before that, he served in an elite technological unit of the Intelligence Corps of the Israel Defense Forces, leading projects in the fields of computer vision, large scale data analysis and satellite command and control. Albert holds a B.Sc. in computer engineering and an M.Sc. in computer vision from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.

Sharon Ulman

Vice President of Hardware & VLSI

Sharon has more than 17 years’ experience in VLSI and hardware design, managing projects with multidisciplinary teams, SOC architecture and system design. Prior to joining AdaSky, Sharon worked as a Bluetooth low-energy architect for CSR (acquired by Qualcomm), and as an architect at Marvell, before which he led the OFDM modem VLSI team at Qualcomm, and served as an VLSI engineer in two start-up companies. Sharon has a B.A. in computer science from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology and holds four patents in VLSI architecture.
